What would we do on an Eye on the World trip?

Among the trips that we are developing is one to Kenya, East Africa to visit Kima International School of Theology. This Eye on the World ministry trip is what we refer to as a “Go and See, Go and Do” trip.  It will include the following opportunities:

  • Fly into Nairobi on a Saturday and stay at one of the lovely Guest Houses and get the flavor of this beautiful capitol city of more than three million people.
  • Have lunch on Sunday at the Nairobi Game Park and see orphaned animals famous to Africa.
  • Fly to Kisumu at the edge of Lake Victoria on Sunday afternoon and make a 45 minute trip up the beautiful escarpment to Kima where the Church of God had its start over 100 years ago.
  • Be hosted for the week by our four missionary families at KIST (Kima International School of Theology).
  • Share in their twice-weekly Chapel services.
  • Visit classes and eat with the students once or twice.
  • Do some small projects such as painting, working in the library, electrical work, plumbing, and miscellaneous projects needed by the missionaries.
  • Visit to Kisumu for souvenir shopping and lunch at Lake Victoria.
  • Sunday visit to village churches for worship and lunch.
  • Three-day/two-night Safari at the famous Masaai Mara with one of the best Kenyan African Safari guides in East Africa.  See the “Big Five” and so much more in their own natural habitat.  It is the adventure of a lifetime.
